Getting Started

Creating an account is easy! Follow these steps:

  1. Click the "Sign Up" button in the top right corner
  2. Enter your email address and create a secure password
  3. Verify your email address by clicking the link we send you
  4. Complete your profile with photos and information
  5. Start browsing and connecting with potential matches!

DatePress offers both free and premium memberships:

  • Free Membership: Create a profile, browse members, receive messages, and use basic search
  • Premium Membership: Unlimited messaging, advanced search filters, see who viewed your profile, boost your visibility, and more!

Account & Profile

To edit your profile:

  1. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner
  2. Select "Edit Profile" from the dropdown menu
  3. Update any information you'd like to change
  4. Click "Save Changes" when you're done

Pro tip: Profiles with photos and complete information get 10x more matches!

We're sorry to see you go! To delete your account:

  1. Go to Settings > Account Settings
  2. Scroll down to "Delete Account"
  3. Click "Delete My Account"
  4. Confirm your decision

Note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be removed.

Yes! You can pause your account instead of deleting it:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy
  • Turn on "Hide My Profile"
  • Your profile won't appear in search results
  • You can reactivate anytime

Matching & Messaging

Sending a message is simple:

  1. Find someone you're interested in
  2. Click on their profile
  3. Click the "Send Message" button
  4. Write your message and hit send!

Tip: Personalized messages get better response rates than generic "Hi" messages.

There are a few reasons why you might not be able to message someone:

  • They may have blocked you
  • Their profile may be deactivated
  • You need a premium membership to send unlimited messages
  • They may have privacy settings that limit who can contact them

We show read receipts with different indicators:

  • Single checkmark: Message sent
  • Double checkmark: Message delivered
  • Blue checkmark: Message read (Premium feature)

Safety & Privacy

To report or block a user:

  1. Go to their profile
  2. Click the three dots menu (⋯)
  3. Select "Report" or "Block"
  4. Choose the reason and submit

Blocked users cannot see your profile or contact you. We take all reports seriously and investigate promptly.

Yes! We take your privacy seriously:

  • All data is encrypted using industry-standard security
  • We never share your personal information with third parties
  • Your email and phone number are never displayed publicly
  • You control what information appears on your profile

Subscription & Billing

Upgrading is easy:

  1. Go to the Pricing page
  2. Choose your preferred plan
  3. Enter your payment information
  4. Start enjoying premium features immediately!

All payments are secure and encrypted.

Yes, you can cancel anytime:

  1. Go to Settings > Subscription
  2. Click "Cancel Subscription"
  3. Confirm cancellation

You'll still have access to premium features until the end of your billing period. No refunds for partial months.
