About this event

Tired of swiping and ready for a real conversation? Spend an evening at the Sky Lounge meeting people who came out for the same reason you did. You will be introduced to every match in your bracket, one at a time, with a host keeping the rotation moving so nobody is left standing at the bar.

Afterwards, tick the people you would like to see again in the app. Where it is mutual, we open a chat for you both — usually within 24 hours of the last round, and never revealing who ticked whom if it was not mutual.

How the evening runs

Three hours, four parts — you can leave any time after the rounds.

Doors, welcome drink and name cards Check in, collect your card and bracket number, and settle in. No introductions to make on your own.
Rounds one to eight Six minutes each, with a minute between to note who you would like to see again.
Break, canapés and remaining rounds A twenty minute breather, then the last of your matches depending on bracket size.
Free mingling in the private lounge Stay for the last hour and find the people you clicked with. Results go out in the app the next day.

The Sky Lounge, 15th floor. Ask for the DatePress room at reception — the lift needs the key card the host will hand you.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

Full refund up to 48 hours before the start time, straight back to your card. Inside 48 hours we can move your ticket to another speed dating night in the same city instead, because brackets are matched by then.

What if I arrive late?

Rounds start 30 minutes after doors. Arrive after that and we will slot you into the next free round, though you may meet fewer people. If you are running behind, message Sarah — she can hold your seat.

Do I have to come alone?

Most people do, and the format is built for it. If you would rather bring someone, the pair ticket puts you both in the room in different brackets so you are not matched with each other.

How do matches work afterwards?

Tick the people you would like to see again in the app by noon the next day. Mutual ticks open a chat; one-sided ones are never shown to anyone.

Is it safe, and what if someone makes me uncomfortable?

Sarah and one steward are on the floor all evening. Tell either of them, or use the report button on a profile, and we will remove the person from your rotation immediately. Read our safety tips before you go.
